How we lend
How we lend responsibly
Every application is looked at fairly and carefully by our Credit Committee, using the 5 Cs of credit:
- Character – your record of repaying and managing money.
- Capacity – whether your income comfortably covers the repayments.
- Capital – your savings and other resources.
- Collateral – any security for the loan.
- Conditions – the purpose of the loan and the wider economy.
We know our customers. We confirm every borrower's identity with a valid photo ID (passport, national ID or driver's licence), proof of address and proof of income, as required by Vanuatu law.
Your information is safe. We protect your details, use them only for lawful business purposes and limit access to authorised people.
We lend what you can repay. We check affordability before approving, so repayments don't cause hardship.
NFSL operates under the laws of the Republic of Vanuatu, including its anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing laws.
