Business Proposals

Have a business idea?

NSCL invests alongside its members. Here's how to bring a proposal to the Investment Committee.

For NSCL members

Turn your idea into a partnership

NSCL members can submit business proposals for the Investment Committee to consider. If a proposal is accepted, NSCL and the member form a partnership with profit sharing as agreed. The member takes an active part in running and managing the business.

The process is designed to be transparent and fair and to include proper due diligence.

  • Financial projections
  • Funding request & use of funds

The process

Four steps

  1. Idea & preliminary research

Develop a clear business concept. Think about the market need, your expertise, and the potential for profit and social impact. Do some preliminary research: who your competitors and target market are, and a basic financial projection.

  2. Consultation

    Optional, recommended

Book a short consultation with the Investment Committee or a designated liaison officer to discuss your concept and check it fits NSCL's investment criteria.

  3. Formal proposal

Send a short proposal — who you are, what you propose, how it benefits members, and the timeline — to info@navarasociety.org, with any supporting documents such as market research, financial projections, CVs of key people and any permits or licences.

  4. Investment Committee review

We acknowledge receipt within 5 business days. The committee assesses viability, financials, risk and strategic fit. It may ask you questions, then tells you whether the proposal is accepted, rejected or needs revision.

If approved

NSCL and the member agree the partnership terms (profit sharing, responsibilities and contributions). The agreement is reviewed by a lawyer, and then both parties sign it.
